Welcome Message

 Hello! Welcome to my blog about Belgium's 2021 participation in popular singing competition...Eurovision! I chose to focus on Belgium because it is a country that I have heard of but I don't know anything substantial about it. It provided me the opportunity to learn about a country that I am lacking knowledge about.  Beginning the quarter, I knew quite little about Eurovision. But to summarize what I have learned, Eurovision is a singing competition between European countries (with an exception of a few). This provided a non-violent way for countries to compete and a healthy outlet of patriotism. During this competition countries pick a 3 minute song released after September to perform at the previous year winner 's country in May.
